3. Matra: The matra is a diacritic which is used to indicate the pronunciation of a vowel. There are thirteen matras in Devanagari lipi and they are: अं, अः, अँ, आं, आः, आँ, इं, इः, इँ, ईं, ईः, ईँ, उं.
4. Halant: The halant is a symbol which is used to show the end of a consonant. It is written as a small circle or dot placed after a consonant letter.
5. Anuswar: Anuswar is a diacritic which is used to indicate the nasalization of a vowel. It is written as a small half-circle placed above a vowel.
